Definitely not a 5star hotel
I booked the privilege room online, but when I arrived, the room offered to me is quite different with the pictures showed in the website. I doubt they gave me a basic room instead but when I asked them in the reception, no one sloved my question. One guy only ask me whether I need to call the manager, but when I said yes, no one contact me then

The hotel of 2 half’s
A hotel of 2 half’s. Initially we were put in the left side of the hotel in a large room which was very dated and needed redecorating. The noise above kept us awake all night, very loud voices and banging, the room was also extremely hot. We asked to move and the reception staff put us in the right side of the hotel. A different world, lovely decoration, quality room with working heat controls. Hospitable staff but you would have to be careful which side of the hotel you were put on.

Terrible breakfast
Overall the hotel is ok. The location of the hotel is excellent, entrance to metro is right in front of the hotel. Also very close to city centre. The reception and entrance hall are grand and beautiful, that’s where the superlative end. The room is in desperate need for update, the walls and carpets feel dirty. For 5* hotel the room lacks tea / coffee making facilities and other amenities expected. The staff is nice and polite enough, but nothing extra and the worst of it is probably food. The room service quality is underwhelming, while the breakfast is just a rip off. Fake eggs, fake fruit juices and terrible coffee, no fresh vegetables and lack of fruit beside apples and tinned fruit salad. Not worth paying extra, not worth 5* hotel. So overall the value for money is not there.
A classic looking building and atmosphere give you a sense of an old-world feel. I ordered a large room on the 6th floor and had a balcony.

This hotel is very beautiful and my room was large, clean and quiet. But I paid extra for the breakfast which was a huge disappointment. Powdered eggs, low quality food, and when I said this to the reception when check in out I received a very cold (somewhat rude) response. I would highly recommend not having the breakfast at the hotel, and instead eat at The Avocado Show or Peck 47 (very close to the hotel and delicious breakfasts).

This is not a 5-stars hotel!
It spent an hour to check in because they gave a wrong room key, lucky, the room is untidy and peoples are still occupied, and the type of the room is not the one that I was booked.
There is no tea/coffee maker in room, it is not the same standard of 5-stars hotel.
When I was check out, I paid the city tax by cash (EURO$22), I did not have the change and a receipt, and told them please don't charge to my credit. After a week, I found Euro$21.2 is charged to my Credit card.
I wrote an email and message via facebook yesterday, but there is no respond! Is it a 5 stars hotel service?
I have noticed that "for any urgent matter, please contact: fo@metropolehotel.be"", but, there is still no reply!
For the person in charge of this hotel, if they receive my comment, please leave a name, tittle, and email to handle my complaints.

Received an excellent level of service from Andrea on the front office reception desk in resolving the issues with our booking which expedia had failed to address
