I was at Sonesta for 6 nights for work in the city. We had two rooms, the first two nights were uneventful, comfortable.
The third night my daughter (in the other room) comes to my room angry and grossed out because she found a bug in her room. I thought maybe a lady bug or ant, but after seeing it, it was a coch roach. Not one, but two climbing on the wall. We went down to the front desk, showed the lady the picture and she insisted it was a box elder bug. I don’t know a lot about bugs, but I do know a roach when I see one.
Front desk lady moved my daughter to another room where she stayed for 3 hours and checked out and came to my room.
Asked the front desk and manager what or if there is anything they can do for my daughter (refund some of her night, anything) and I never did hear back. When I was checking out there was a lady and her kids that were checking in and they were having all sorts of problems with their computers charging her card multiple times.
Other issues, the lock on the door to my room kept sticking open. Had to aggressively press the handle three or four times before I could shut the door. Was offered a different room, but I had just put all my stuff away for the week. So I dealt with it. Housekeeping manager came up and said it’s a door problem. Nothing he could do about it.
Shower had barely any water pressure.
Bathroom had absolutely no ventilation so every smell from anything lingered for hours.
TVs are old so some channels work, not all.
