We has a huge round bath in our bedroom which would have taken a ridiculous amount of water so didn't use it. They were quite quick to replace a light bulb in the lavatory. To my horror I found old toothpaste in the bottom of the plastic tooth mug, bad at any time but with Covid? The room was hot (the window only opened a little way for safety) and the lights in the courtyard went on and off all night and were very bright. Dinner was very disappointing, particularly after the brilliant reviews online. It is the only time I have ever asked for a dish to be removed. Chicken, which I literally could not cut it was so tough. It was actually difficult to work out how you could get a chicken to that state, I assume it was a leg and wing but you couldn't really tell what was meat and what was bone, I couldn't even cut the skin! When I pointed this out I was brought a bigger sharper knife! When this failed I asked Madame to have a try at which point she removed my plate and said she would have a word with the chef and they replaced the food with another piece of chicken breast. At no point did they apologise. I wasn't impressed with chopped up beetroot in tahini as a starter, either. Sadly this was the last meal of a holiday which otherwise was full of wonderful meals.
Breakfast was much better, good coffee, bread and great honey. Perhaps we were just unlucky, I hope it was just an "off" day.
