Be Prepared for Mediocrity
If you are shopping the LaQuinta brand (I was) you will be somewhat to very disappointed with this property. The night before I’d stayed at LaQ in Pueblo and it was like a 4* room. This one was between 1* - 2*. The staff was quite friendly and helpful through my various room changes. The first room had no heater working, so they gave me a new room which had no fridge or microwave. The carpet, walls and appliances were surfaced-cleaned, but not deeply cleaned as was evidenced by stains, grime, etc. around the room. The property has a general, overall, rundown look to it.

Disgusting
We booked 2 rooms. The first room smelled like vomit and the second smelled like cigarrette smoke. We needed side by side rooms for the kids, so we kept the smoky room and got switched into a third room on the other side. The third room was so filthy. Both beds had stains and hairs in them. One of the towels had makeup on it. All 4 of us ended up sleeping in the smoky room because it was the lesser of 2 evils at 1:00 am after a concert. Absolutely terrible. The internet pics made it look decent, but it is by far the worst place I've ever stayed. There is a railyard across the street. They coupled train cars all night long and starting blaring the horns at 7 am. Nothing like listening to the sound of train cars crashing into each other all night. There is a one-eyed hawk that lives on the sattelite dish directly above the walkway to some of the rooms.

Older hotel, outside access to rooms in winter not preferred, exterior condition is poor, room was clean, subfloors are humped and uneaten, sparse outlets with some non-functioning dead or tripped at a breaker. Found microwave-fridge-lamp triple stacked on outlet adapter with second outlet in duplex dead.
Would not recommend this motel.

The property is not well maintained. It is old and tired. First room I was in the heater didn't work. Second room I was in the heat was minimal but it wasn't so cold outside that night so that was not too bad, but I could not get the water above tepid after 10 minutes of running it. My first door key did not work and my second door key did not work, so it was many trips up and down the stairs to fix that issue. The door at the top of the stairs was stuck and the closer did not work so people had to push to open it which made a scraping noise and then let it go which banged so loud it rattled my room door. It is right next to a railroad track which also makes it hard to sleep. The carpet is filthy in the common areas as are the doors, woodwork, etc. The rooms are scrubbed but so old and worn out that they look dirty anyway. The breakfast was minimal and I need protein instead of carbs in the morning so I tried a hard boiled egg which was old and tough. The only redeeming factors were that the bed was at least comfortable and the staff was friendly and accommodating. I will not be staying there again.
