There are apparently 3 steps to heaven, unfortunately this was 102 steps to mediocrity. We knew when making our booking that the apartment was up several flights of stairs in a building without a lift, however we were not prepared for how big a challenge these 102 ( yes I counted them) steps were. If you have any mobility issues, then this is probably not the place for you. If you have heavy and bulky luggage, the challenge of negotiating the stairs becomes even greater. The check in process is by text message. You are supposed to receive a text message at 3pm giving you the code for entry into your apartment, however by 3.10pm having waited outside the apartment since 3, we found ourselves having to chase these details. To their credit, upon chasing the codes they were sent quickly. Those 102 steps may just have been worth it had the apartment been the oasis that we had hoped for. We have stayed in numerous establishments in Krakow and this one was a disappointment. There was only one window and no view to speak of. There was an intermittent unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom, which we could only consider was related a problem with plumbing in the apartment. On the plus side there was plenty of hot water, the bed was comfortable, entry was by code, so no key worries and there was a smart TV. In conclusion, the apartment was average at best. Our opinion is that Krakow has many better options for accommodation and we would not return. No left luggage option
