I have always chosen the Maritim Hotel because I appreciate its atmosphere. Unfortunately, this time, I had a disappointing experience during check-in.
I booked a room with two separate beds through Hotel.com and received a confirmation for it. However, upon checking in at the reception, the manager on duty was extremely impatient and treated us unfavorably.
When I arrived at our room, I found that we had been assigned a king-size bed instead, which did not match my booking. I then returned to the reception and requested either a room with separate beds or at least an additional mattress. Unfortunately, my request was rudely denied by the manager.
Later, we spoke with a housekeeping staff member who informed us that the bed could easily be separated into two single beds. The staff member was very kind and helpful, which we greatly appreciated. This made it even more difficult for me to understand why a manager at such a prestigious hotel like the Maritim treated us so uncooperatively.
I hope you will look into this matter and ensure that such experiences do not happen in the future.
