We arrived at 4:00pm one hour after minimum check in time. The told us we had to wait 15 minutes because the room was not ready. After noticing for 45 minutes other guests were checking in ahead of us, I inquired again. The Desk clerk told me that was because of the room we had reserved was why we have to wait. But I inquired what was so special about a room, she said it was a king size bed. I said well do you have any rooms available with the queen size bed? She said yes, so she put us in another room with a queen size bed and when I asked what the price difference was about a $60 difference. She could not give us credit for the difference, but offered us free breakfast which I declined. I called Hotels.com and they had me sent a copy of the invoice and hopefully they will give me credit. And now for what I thought about the room:
The room was nice but a little bit on the small side. Although there were windows, it seemed like as if they were open. The noise was so loud in the room from the street below all night long. In addition, we could smell cooking smells on and off throughout our stay. The shower tiles are so slippery. I’m surprised no one had a bad fall.
Not really worth the money considering this was supposed to be an upper class hotel.
