The property is part of the private Tonsai beach and overall is excellent; the beach is beautiful and quiet, the setting is outstanding with the picturesque hilltops and the coast line, the bird and animal life was amazing to experience and overall it is a great place to relax. As I mentioned the nature was a great experience; the Spectacled Langurs were always frequenting the area, lizards, geckos, many species of butterflies were always around and dozens of bird species including my favorite Hornbill could be seen and heard all day. The suites were private and nicely maintained and we enjoyed the pool and lounge areas many times. Since Tonsai is isolated, note that you will have to take long boats from the main Ao Nang Pier to and from Tonsai. Plus trek at low tide to visit the superb Railay Beach (west and east) or take long boats for an easier route. The costs can add up. Tonsai does have another major resort and other good food options. Booking excursions from Tonsai and Railay was very easy and I would highly recommend visiting the Hong Island area and the island group around Chicken Island.
Beyond the facility and the setting, the people at Tinidee were amazing. Especially want to call out the restaurant and the front desk folks. always pleasant, very accommodating, helpful and simply charming. The food was actually really good and a few things, including the pineapple fried rice, became favorites of our vacation. Really should be at least a 4-star hotel.
