Beautiful historic property that has been. I let remodeled - a very comfortable stay with a down home cozy feel. We enjoyed our breakfast in the common space and the personal attention from staff- even given our very late arrival.

This is a cute hotel in a cute little rural town. If we find ourselves driving through ND again, we would definitely choose to stay here! The cafe was closed when we stayed, but it looks like they have a nice selection of food and drinks. We ended up having breakfast down the road at the Food Barn. We loved the historic look and the cozy atmosphere of our room. Thanks to Lisa for a great stay!

Owners did a great job with renovating this property. The room we had was very nice and the rooms have not just been re-painted, but walls and ceilings were all new replacement wallboard. Room had all necessary items including a fridge. They have a coffee shop downstairs too which is very nice.

Luv this place
Enjoyed my stay at this unique refurbished 1908 hotel. Excellent coffee shop and cafe. Alot of vendor items to check out. My only complaint was there was no where to hang my clothes for the next day as I was attending a meeting as a speaker.

We had to stay here last minute while traveling to Canada. It was definitely comfortable and cozy, holding up to the hotel’s name. Everyone we spoke to was friendly and kind. If you ever find yourself in this area, I highly recommend staying here.

Lisa, the owner, was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. She gave us contact numbers for people who could help us with the research which was the reason for our stay. The breakfasts were delicious. The rooms were clean and nice. We would definitely stay there again!

This is a really nice property. Rustic as you might expect for ND but comfortable, clean, and the hospitality cannot be beaten. It is in a very small community so really more of a bed and breakfast type arrangement. Excellent stop off if you are headed to Canada through Portal

The hotel is beautiful! It is a little gem hidden in a charming village. The room was comfortable, beautifully decorated and I don't think I've ever stayed in such a clean hotel before! The staff takes care of every detail, the service is incredible, the flavors of the cuisine are fresh, combined with the service makes you feel like coming home to grandma's house. It was without a doubt, the perfect place for a fantastic weekend.
Iliana, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Property was cute, bed comfortable, stairs to rooms are very steep, not handicap accessible at all, it was get your own clean towels, toilet paper, tissues etc. I checked in on July 2nd. The downstairs breakfast/luncheon coffee shop was closed the rest of our stay July 3 throughout the week & weekend. So no staff there at all. It was odd to be only ones there. Would have been better if we were informed when we checked in that the eating areas and speacialty coffee shop were all going to be closed during our entire stay. We felt abandoned and not appreciated as paid guests. It was an "experience" for sure.
Steph, 4-night trip

6/10 Good

Super clean, good bed & bathroom. A continental breakfast was included in our package, but apparently was not available and no one from the hotel was on site, only a waitress from the Cafe in the building. We therefore had to pay an extra $20 for our breakfast! In 50 years of traveling we have never had to pay extra for a breakfast included in the package!
