Disappointed
I booked for.2 nights at Hotel on Haven through Hotels.com for 08-10/Oct/2022 on 13/Sep/2022. I received a confirmation from Hotels.com. that my booking was paid and confirmed on the 13/Sep/2022 via email. I received another email on 04/Oct/2022 from Hotels.com reminding me of my upcoming reservation:
We arrived at Hotel on Haven on 08/Oct/2022 to check in, only to be told by a very rude receptionist that they do not have our reservation and that they do not accept on-line bookings! We did not cancel this booking but were denied access by the hotel as tried to make use of it. We were very disappointed as travelled all that way only to be faced with the issue of no accomodation. We have requested a refund from Hotels.com but have been informed that 'Unfortunately, after multiple tries, we weren't able to obtain an approval from the property manager to waive the cancellation fee. This means the current rules and restrictions for your booking apply and a refund can't be granted'. This makes no sense whatsoever as we were not the ones at fault and did not cancel the booking! Please can someone assist with our refund!
