I am very disappointed in this IHG Hotel. Having stayed in the one in Amsterdam I have such good expectations especially because the staff there were very hospitable. However for Berlin City West, booking via Expedia I am sure that I booked the room with “Breakfast included” and upon checkin the staff said breakfast is not included and I showed him then he agreed, the next morning going for breakfast I was told that I need to buy breakfast which I was shocked because I thought upon checkin the staff fixed it. I went to the reception again and the person said oh I’ve added now. However, on the day of checkout, I was told I need to pay for breakfast for the 3 days. which left me utterly shocked. I said no, I told the person upon checkin but he argued upon which I said I wanted to see the manager. The guy who is the manager came out, he said oh with such low rates you booked breakfast definitely was not included. I booked a month ago, where the rates were low, I didn’t book 2 days prior to check in. The staffs are unfriendly. This is not what I had expected from an IHG Hotel at all. It should be made explicitly clear on Expedia as well as on IHG if or not breakfast is included. Having paid more than fair share of money for something that was said to have been included but was not, this is absolutely ridiculous. I will never stay at this IHG hotel again especially due to the lack of hospitality by the staffs and for not making things perfectly clear instead of the back and forths
