I explicitly booked wheelchair accessible accommodation through Expedia, with the a wheel-in shower. when I arrived, I was informed that they only had one such room, and it had been fully booked for the whole summer. They informed me that they were not asked for accessible accommodation for me! I was offered another room, but found that it had a step up to the door, and I was not able to access it. I was eventually given a room I could get into with much difficulty, but without accessible shower or toilet.
The following day, a makeshift ramp was constructed so that I could get into the other room. The bedroom had more space, but the en-suite facilities were a struggle, and I could not use the shower or bath.
The parking area, dining room, reception etc, were some distance from my room (it is not a hotel as such, more like a holiday village), making it even less suitable.
I would like to know where the booking went wrong. You sent me confirmation that my requirements were available.
