Hotel is tired (compared to other no items in London we have stayed in), toilets in public areas no clean and the decor in the room was poorly maintained.
Reception staff were polite and helpful, restaurant delivered poor service.
We chose to eat in the hotel on our first night. Restaurant was quiet, but it took an age for anyone to take our order. Ordered a child’s meal, asked if they could swap juice for milk, was told no (what restaurant doesn’t give milk as an option for a child’s drink or offer some flexibility), was told I had to order child dessert at the same time as the rest of the food and not decide after the main! Childs starter came out with the other main meals, not before. Asked for ketchup and mayo, had to pay £1.50 each for each small jar. Asked for vinegar, and got presented with a bowl of it… very random.
We were asked for room number on arrival at restaurant for the bill to be added, only to be shouted at when we started to leave having not paid.
The family room we booked had the sofa bed made to a double, not 2 singles. Reception were quick enough to get us 2 duvets for the first night, only for housekeeping to put it back to a double the second night!
Towels were changed after first night, normal practice to only change if they’re not hung up.
Breakfast was ok, supplies not replenished very quickly, at times no plates in sight, no juice, no bread, and half the hot food missing. But there was however a bowl of ketchup to help yourself too!!
