Not great at all
Hotel was in a great location. It was not very clean. There was a wall pealing in the bathroom with mold. The shower was old and looked horrible. Shower curtain had yellow stains. The water was warm and would turn to freezing cold during the shower. We were only given 3 towels, no bathmat and 1/2 a roll of Tp. It was not at all like the pictures and there was no food service at. Which we were depending on.

Location is the only perk
The location in Times Square was amazing, as was the view, and the service was excellent. This is what you are paying for and getting. Everything else is mediocre at best. The bed was one of the worst hotel beds I've slept on - I've had a better hotel bed in very cheap hotels. There are no microwaves or refrigerators in the rooms, so do not plan on keeping any leftover food! The paint was peeling off the bathtub, the a/c setting was not changeable (it is just whatever the hotel is set at, you can crack the window, though, if the temperature outside works), and there is only one rolling office-type chair to sit in in the room other than the bed.

Wasn’t told during reservation or even check-in that hotel was undergoing renovations. All guests were in lobby in the morning, big crowd trying to check out/get their vehicles because they were shutting down. Website didn’t mention a word either. Lounge and coffee shop were completely closed and even though we set the thermostat at 68, the room temp was 88 the whole night. Shower/faucet control was falling apart.

Worst hotel stay
This hotel was closing for renovations our last day, nothing was open. No coffee, no bar, no amenities. The HVAC did not work and our room was freezing. The hot water in the shower was inconsistent. They did. It supply rooms properly with toiletries, etc.

A bed to sleep in and not much more
The bed was comfortable, but there were so many items that we were missing in our room. We eventually got them, but because the phone didn't work, we had to go down to the lobby every time that we needed something. Even the house cleaning cart didn't have the toilet paper we needed. The other issue was that there was no food on premise other than the first night. After that, the lounge had all the tables removed and there wasn't anywhere in the building serving food.

Heat and Hot Water Issues
The room was overly warm, and we weren’t able to turn the temperature down lower than 68 F. The room temperature was reading 75 F. I called the front desk, and they connected me to maintenance. Maintenance basically told me the only thing they could do is offer me a fan; however, they never brought the fan up. The shower also took forever to heat up, but the sink hot water was extremely hot. Other than these weird issues with the room and inadequate service from maintenance, the stay was good. The hotel is in an excellent location for Broadway and the Rockettes. The front desk was very nice.

The front staff's response was not satisfactory. I requested cleaning for my room, but no matter how many times I asked, they showed no motivation and refused to comply. I also urgently requested nearly empty toilet paper and towels to be delivered, but they didn't do that either. It only seemed like they were shifting the responsibility onto the cleaning staff, which made me doubt whether communication between departments within the hotel is functioning properly. Additionally, during checkout, even though I specified my room number, they gave me a receipt for a different room, demonstrating a basic level of mistake that made me question their dedication. The night view from the room was nice, but that was the only positive aspect.

Great Location and staff but hotel needs updating.
Hotel needs a refresh, all areas just looking a little tired now. Cleaning wasn't great especially in the Bathroom. Hot water in the shower was a bit hit and miss, need to run the shower for a while but even that didn't always work. Reception staff however were great and very helpful. Location is brilliant.

Ok but needs some improvements
The hotel is in an amazing position for visiting NY. Our bathroom was looking a little tired and the bath certainly needs replacing as the enamel is flaking. The room was however very comfortable and it was great to have 2 proper beds so our son was not sleeping on a sofa bed. The hotel only has a very small bar area. Whilst it advertsied a Happy Hour between 5-7 pm, we were told that they don't offer this duing the Christmas season. They did however, honour it for us and changed the notice for the following night. The Cafe which is available for breakfast was extremely slow and staff not overly friendly. Also cold milk in porridge was not nice but after queuing for 30 mins, we didn't want to queue again to get something else. It was great to be able to leave your bags on the check out day but again, there was one poor staff member doing this and the queues were out the door, another 45 mins wait. Overall, the hotel was ok to stay at but there are a few things which they could improve on.

Very nice location. Easy to get to many landmarks such as time square and Rockefeller center. However the room needed some improvements. The lighting in the bathroom was horrible, there was no light around the mirror. Not sure if it was a lightbulb issue or electrical but the entire mirror had no light. Also the thermostat wasn’t working correctly. We had it sent on 68 and the temp for the room read 75. It got so hot in the room that we had to turn the heat off when we went to sleep.
