This is a hard place to write a review. First off, it really is NOT a hotel. It is a converted flat, that is a work in progress. There is no way to find this place, it has no sign out front. The only way we found it was the guy running the bistro next door showing us the way. We almost had to just go find another hotel.
Once we found it, it was pretty rough. The place needs a lot of work, for instance the floor in the room was very uneven, and the tiles were coming off the floor. We had our own bathroom, but we had to go down the hall to get there. Said bathroom was pretty bad.
The elevator was very small, no more than two people at a time, and often did not work.
All that said, they guys working there were great. There was almost always someone at the desk who spoke some English. You can tell that they are working hard to make it better. I bet if I went back a year or two it would be a lot better. The room was clean, and pretty good sized. We were near the train station, right in the middle of Rome.
Once we figured out how it works, I was not too unhappy with the place. I felt safe there, and the location was great. One last thing, they say they offer rides to the airport, they don't say that it costs about 70 euro. Take the train.
