It was okay. There were three of us that needed a place to stay and it was one of the few options in Ouray on short notice. The check in process was good.
But the little things can drive you nuts: the shower didn’t drain, the sink drain wouldn’t unplug without under-sink assistance, the battery in the clock was dead, light switches seemed illogical, the blinds were really bent, the couch was broken on the backside and just felt really second hand. The hot water heater was in the king bed bedroom closet. The king bed had a two inch cushion on top of the mattress, so I assumed the mattress was old, but the cushion was really too soft for me. Only one burner on the stove worked - and that one smoked when I turned it on. The handle on the stove was broken off. And a book for guests - which included an extensive set of laws about behavior in town - didn’t even spell out the check out process. I had to call the next morning and wait on hold to learn I could just leave the keys on the table and lock the door behind me.
The sheets and towels were clean. The refrigerator worked. We figureD out the tv. We stayed here two nights in October - not summer, not winter.
