We spent over two weeks at the hotel, and were unhappy about many aspects of this hotel. While we enjoyed the nice beach and spacious room, the hotel fell short and desperately needs oversight.
Service: The hotel is understaffed (the stressed current staff express frequently that there are not enough people).
-Repeatedly rooms not cleaned after 5:00 pm even when we’ve hung the ‘make up room’ sign at 8:00 am.
-Staff are not trained properly, for example, they repeatedly bring food we ordered at the beachside with no silverware or napkins. Pasta carbonara with your fingers, anyone?
-Beachside tables never wiped clean
-Not enough sun beds for guests
-Pool water filthy with debris, cloudy water, foam
-In-room dishes appear to be put back dirty
-Dirty dishes outside rooms for multiple days
-Waiter dropped tongs on floor at breakfast and put back on food counter
-Towels in room delivered with filth folded inside
-Each room gets four 450 ml bottles of water each day. Maximum.
Noise: We booked an ocean view room so we can relax on the balcony and listen to the sea after a day of swimming. Almost every night, there’s an event between the rooms and the ocean, blasting the sound at full volume.
Location: This hotel appears to have been built near a garbage dump, and we are assaulted daily with the reeking smell of rotting garbage.
General manager: Obstinate and defensive and utterly impossible to speak with.
