Staff are friendly, responsive and helpful. Breakfast is included and very good quality and tasty. Small hotel makes for a more tranquil and intimate feel, which is nice for families. Housekeeping is very good. The back yard and path don't lead anywhere, which was disappointing, since it's right along the river. It would be nice to have access to the river. The Expedia listing says the family suite features cookware, dishes and other amenities with the kitchenette, but it was only upon request. The kitchen was completely empty and we had to request everything.
If the hotel is seeking to cater to foreign travelers, they should consider stocking every kitchenette with the necessary cookware, dishes, soap, towels, etc, so that guests do not have to ask for so many things. For example, we asked for a coffee maker and they provided it a day later, but they did not provide filters or coffee. Taking care of the little details goes a long way to making guests feel at home and adds a lot of value to their experience, especially if we're paying $110 per night.
