Charming hotel close to the Palace

Last time we stayed here the bar was under total renovation. This time it was complered as a new lobby, reception bar area. Check-in was strange as the guy behind reception wasn't used to the new software and had to be guided by the lady ahead of us who knew the system. Room was great, breakfast fantastic. Be careful of the minibar - NOK 55 for a Kvikklunsj (like a KitKat). Plus a strange hooker operating out of the lobby/bar!

Just right for us.

Modest but just right small hotel in a great location. Beds were brilliant and the breakfast prepared with great care. I would happily stay again when in Oslo. Walking distance to everything of interest and especially the wonderful Vigeland sculpture park. Quiet streets.

When I booked this hotel I was a little worried about the distance from the city center. But it’s close to a tram station and easy to go anywhere in the city. The area is nice and quiet and only 15 minutes walk to the Vigeland park. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling to Oslo.

The staff were amazing, so knowledgeable about transpo, and helpful w my heavy bag up front stairs. Shout out to Elisa. Thank you for excellent service! Breakfast was so delicious. I loved the various smoothies, and self serve espresso machines. The lobby/bar area was gorgeous, with gas fireplace and interesting art. Also, i appreciated the portable fan in room, as most hotels run central heating and too hot for me. I would have given 5 stars, except for the pillows (way too soft), and the stairs at front.

I loved staying at Saga Hotel Oslo!

I was visiting Oslo for 2 days, and stayed on Saga Hotel Oslo. It was amazing! Here are some of the great things: - The staff’s hospitality and service level was at the highest. - The breakfast was so delicious, with a lot of options if you are lactose intolerant. - The location was perfect if you want to be close to center but also like a cozy and quiet location.

Away from the crowds in a quiet neighborhood behind the Royal Palace. Lots of local shopping nearby. Tram stop about two blocks away. Oslo is a very compact city, everything is within walking distance if you like to walk and explore the different sections of Oslo. Very good breakfast, with local Norwegian food,; shrimp, smoke salmon, and local bread selection. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the city.
