Our visit started at 9 pm in pouring rain. We had to wait to be allowed past the gate and onto the premises. At the concierge desk, the attendant was focused on their phone. We asked for an upgrade for a third guest. The attendant facilitated the change begrudgingly, and we paid the difference. Our room, needed two beds because of our additional guest. We had to ask for the third bed, the conciergedidn'tthink to automatically ask. The hotel is nicely furnished and decorated. The room, though charming, had several issues. The room had the second bed in the loft. To get to the loft, guests have to climb a 10 foot ladder, which is in a hazardous vertical position (90 degree). You are unable to take things up to the loft, because you must climb the ladder at the same time. The loft ceiling was very low, approximately 4 feet high. To get around, guests have to hunch over. The night stands do not have electrical outlets for charging your phone. The bathroom is beautifully decorated, but the bathroom sink had a constant drip (better described as a constant stream). We reported the drip to the concierge, but they said staff would have to check it after our departure, two days later. This goes against their water conservation campaign and reflects poorly when the hotel is in a city with water shortages. The shower had either hot or cold water. Overall a disappointing stay.
