When booked sea view but we’re put in the middle with no view. We asked to have breakfast included instead since they had no se view rooms and the guy left to ask and never came back. Went to desk and the guy said ok so went to dinner which was terrible and expensive. They didn’t have much on the menu and buffet looked terrible dry and cold. So I had Tiny salad with dry piece of chicken and wilted lettuce. Didn’t even go to breakfast after my husband went and said everything was cold and dry and none of the warmers were even on. In our room we only had one natty towell and coffee but no cups. We called and asked the night before twice and nobody brought them and called in the morning again still none so we just left. Room looks newer but when you look closer things were falling off and rusted etc.this was the most expensive hotel we have had here in three months and was the worst stay we had in three months.
On the plus side they looked like they had a nice pool and beach area for kids.

o,where to start. There is no lift to get to the reception and so my elderly mother needed to walk up ms down the stairs to get to the reception and to go to the rooms.they then asked for a fee for the driver to stay(unless more than 8 guests),this is something that is not seen in any other Sri Lanka hotel yet they did it was normal policy.the driver told us the food they provided was bad and very basic.they then argued about the fact that the booking(through Expedia) included breakfast and dinner and initially refused to honour it.the room they provided then had someone already in it.the organisation in this place is terrible and when we asked who the senior manager was, they did not give us the information.how is this possible? The food/buffet was the worst we have seen(rice, chick peas and chicken) and a lot seemed to be blamed on the fact that there was a wedding going on that day/night.the staff kept dying they had only worked there a few days and all but one staff member seemed inept and not helpful at all.we re still trying to find out who the senior manager is and it became clear that he wasn’t telling us as to not get into trouble himself.they also didn’t have any ice-water despite being in one of the hottest parts of Sri Lanka.I’ve never seen a 3 star hotel as bad as this, either in Sri Lanka or anywhere else.the issue about the driver payment and extremely poor organisation may wash with foreigners. Thus place needs an inspection and we will report to the tourist board
