We booked two king balcony suites for a 5 day Buisness trip. The rooms are looking very tired. Being located on the 4th floor there was a lot of street noise from outside. About the room. There were only 4 sachets of coffee and one small container of milk, the milk was not replaced after day one and the coffee ran out after day two. While this may seem trivial we wanted to see how long it would take to replenish if we did not complain. It was never replenished, so considering we were paying $3-400 a night itwas very disappointing. The door lock to the room broke after the room was serviced so we returned after a day out to find our door ajar. Luckily nothing was missing, the door could lock from the inside. This we did immediately report and unfortunately maintenance had left for the day and the duty manager did attempt a repair.
Finally they advertise a gym/ fitness center. This however is not on site and you need to walk across the road to the Pullman hotel and use their facilities which I found very inconvenient. I feel the hotel needs to remove this from their listing but if they do they risk bringing their 4 star rating down to the 3 stars it deserves.
The Pullman across the road is a 5 star rated hotel and its room rates were similar to what we paid. As a regular Buisness traveller who books for the national sales team I wanted to review their facilities for my people unfortunately the Novotel did not pass inspection as a comfortable option for my staffs future use.
