Pretty average
Wasn't sure what to expect based on some of the reviews online. It seems like the hotel is undergoing renovation - I think we must have had one of the unrenovated rooms based on the condition. The hallways were looking pretty worn, and on the inside of the room, the bathroom, floors and fixtures were looking their age. The overall comfort of the room was fine - we had two double beds with two pillows apiece (I think 4 is standard?). The sheets had small mystery stains on them, and they were a bit stingy with towels unless requested. The light switches were confusing at first until you figure out that there's a master switch. A note on the noise complaints - we were there for 4 nights and the first two nights were pretty quiet. The last two nights the club was thumping until 3am. Bring earplugs if you're staying over a weekend or request a high floor room. Also, there's a speakeasy bar under the hotel that is quite popular. Not noisy but there are some long lines to get in (make a reservation, the hotel can't help you get in). Overall it was fine for what we paid (as opposed to the high end hotels I've stayed in for work in Polanco, where all of these complaints would have been infuriating instead of shrug-worthy).

The staff was friendly and helpful. All the staff were bi-lingual. The Bell hop Tony was super informative and showed me all the features in my hotel & room. The Laundry service was convenient & fast same day service. ( a little expensive though). Overall the hotel was a great value. The neighborhood felt safe & convenient to many things.

NH Collection Reforma was a terrible experience and this hotel should be avoided. When I tried to check in, they said they had no record of my booking, even though this was showing on Hotels.com. The hotel was also apparently full. Staff were not apologetic and I ended up having to find another hotel. However, when I tried to get a refund NH Collection refused this several times and would not return my money, although they had initially denied the existence of my booking. It took several hours of calls to get my money back. The whole experience was very stressful and showed a total lack of customer service. From what I did see of the hotel, it was quite worn and dirty, and not of the usual standard of NH Collection.

Great stay.
Our check in was at 3 pm. Had reserved a special room. Took over 2 hours to have the room ready. We were very tired after traveling. Also there is some club at the back of the hotel on the street behind. This could have been a big issue. But we always travel with earplugs. Breakfast was very delicious. The lady at the omelette station was great with me and the family. All in all I would give 5 stars. Except for the long check in. Staff. Housekeeping. Sergio at the bar all made you feel at home.

Freshly renovated, much improved
I’d stayed at this hotel ?18 months ago and it was in need of renovation… they’ve done it. Rooms, furniture, flooring, etc are all freshly done over. Service is very good as well. That said the check in line was too long when I arrived, it took over 30 minutes for me in the mid afternoon. But the other services, from the room cleaning to the concierge recommendations for hotels, etc, were all great… people were friendly… and the gym and pool and all of that were absolutely fine. In addition, this is a very cool and walkable neighborhood with a lot to offer. The public spaces are comfortable as well.

Good for the money
This hotel is very well located. Two of our tours started only a block away from it, so it was convenient. Plenty of places to eat around, and lots of shop g, very safe area and easy to get to public transportation. Breakfast was good and it has a lot of Mexican dishes. The handshake bar in the first floor is excellent. Did not had a chance to use the pool but it looked good.
