Well managed hotel for a decent enough price. It’s located in an outer district of Vienna, but it takes only 1/2 hour to reach the city centre by public transit. Staff is very cooperative and friendly. Coffee shop in the building, 2 grocery stores in the immediate neighbourhood. Excellent shopping options (somewhat upscale) on the nearby Obkirchergasse. A few decent restaurants close by.

A perfect weekend hotel
My stay at the Franz Kaiser Joseph was excellent and provided a perfect escape for our trip to Vienna. The staff were all friendly and accommodating and the parking below was a nice affordable amenity. The rooms were well kept and the noise level was calm and quiet which made it easy to sleep peacefully all night.

Great, reasonably priced (for Vienna) hotel. We arrived at 10pm so the McDonalds just round the corner was a godsend. Nearby tram stop takes you to the centre of Vienna in 10 minutes (11 stops) for €2.60. Room was great. Had a balcony which was very good for smokers. Would definitely visit again.

Good place outside the city center for tourists
The property is listed as a business hotel but I think that’s because you get a mini kitchen in the room. There are several public transportation options to get you to the city center in about 30 minutes. The breakfast buffet is pretty good in the European style. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. You will get room cleaning service daily. There are several cafes nearby and even a McDonalds, although I don’t understand the concept of fast food in Vienna. Highly recommended.

Although the hotel was some distance from the city centre, there were very good tram and train links not just to the centre, but also to other districts. The fact that the hotel was at a distance meant we had to use public transport, which gave us the opportunity to see everyday life in Vienna, which was fascinating! There were restaurants near the hotel in addition to the restaurant in the hotel. The hotel facilities were very good, and the two bottles of beer and two bottles of water was both unexpected and very welcome!
