Unusual, with good value
Unusual and fun stay in the upstairs "carriage house" - very quiet, large room in historic building overlooking a brick courtyard. Linens were great, skylight lent great light in large bathroom with enormous tub in addition to a good shower. Cold breakfast was fine - actually included just-cooked warm hardboiled eggs and warm scones. Off-street parking was limited to 3 spots.

Good Place to Stay Near Downtown Sacramento
The location was excellent, especially for events downtown. The house is beautiful and quiet. The only problem we encountered was that the bed wasn't terribly comfortable and squeaked noisily every time we turned over during the night.

The venue was lovely and stately. As an architectural enthusiast, the details were old-world craftsmanship. The room had all the basics needed for a good sleep. I was there on a Sunday and the neighborhood was quiet. The continental breakfast was sufficient. This will be my first choice from now on when staying in Sacramento.

Valentine’s Day in Midtown
The hotel or bed and breakfast is very nice. In a nice neighborhood. The grounds are beautiful. Staff was very nice and welcoming. The building just needs a little TLC. Water stain and hole in our ceiling. Shower door needs re-painting. I really don’t like to negatively comment as it is historical, but it needs a little work. Continental breakfast was nice and coffee was GOOD!

Really great value for the money. We stayed there twice on either end of a Northern Cal vacation. The rooms are very nice, with HUGE bathrooms. The only pitfall is that the property is very old and needs some exterior upkeep. We did see someone working there doing repairs both times. Overall, I strongly recommend them.
