This is a great hotel - it has a great vibe, is nicely decorated, is very clean, and has friendly staff. The rooms are a bit cosy, but that’s standard in Paris.
The only downside to this place is the location - it’s great if you don’t mind hopping on the metro to go anywhere, but it’s not super walkable. The local area is a bit rough and ready with quite a few kebab shops and discount clothing stores. Whilst you can see signs of development if you head more in the Goncourt direction, with some cool food places and bars popping up, it’s not somewhere we enjoyed hanging around for more than 1/2 nights.
There are two really cool places nearby though - the Canal Saint-Martin is really pleasant and has some trendy food and drink places, and the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont park is lovely with a really cool bar & pizza place called Rosa Bonheur. Highly recommend both.
