Good food and location.
Lovely hotel with very helpful staff. Great location for Excel. The room was big enough for two with all the facilities fitted in a relatively small space. The bed was firm, which was okay for me, but my wife was not a fan. The restaurant staff were very attentive and helpful and the food was good. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and good quality food.

Fabulous hotel, superb location, great bar
Our first choice when visiting London. A great hotel with a fabulous terrace for a coffee or a cocktail, soaking up the sun. Easy access to the city and great to pop over to the O2 on the cable car for dinner. Lovely meal in the restaurant one night with attentive service from Klea.

Always a good stay/ location for the horse show. Breakfast good choice but need more drinks machines or separate hot water for tea as 2 machines not enough for volume of customers. Reception toilets always smell stale though so please consider an air freshener with regular bursts !!

Not good.
When we got into our room, we discovered that the room had not been cleaned well at all from the previous people who had stayed in it. There were used mugs (with coffee and milk still in them) lying around, used slippers and towels still in the bathroom, as well as opened and used toiletries (I believe they were make up pads, didn't really want to touch and find out), and the iron was left out on the desk. The bed sheets weren't very big and didn't really cover the bed properly. As we were leaving we also realised there was also a brown stain on the wall behind the bed. Not good unfortunately, and surprising considering how nice the lobby and reception areas appeared downstairs, but the room did not live up to the expectations sadly.

Perfect stay
From the start to finish can’t fault anything. We arrived earlier than check in but was able to leave our bags and explore London before coming back. Slept like a log and the breakfast was amazing. Run down bedroom. Mouldy shower. Toilet in a tiny separate room from the bathroom. Too small and claustrophobic. Fridge light (with glass front) kept coming on in the night so i had to unplug it. Breakfast hidiously expensive for average food.
