I really enjoyed my stay at Residenza Hotel Cimabue. The staff at the front desk were very nice and welcoming. The hotel room was clean and quiet and the beds were comfortable. The area is very quiet which is nice but also very close to the center and walking distance to the train station. I stayed here for three nights and would definitely recommend.

Unfortunately, the restroom was not well-maintained. A bath mat or towels were never replaced. We enjoyed the coffee in the room only once. They never replace the coffee or took the dirty cups away.

The room was very nice. It looked very rustic and authentic. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The beds are pretty comfortable but the pillows are very stiff. The biggest issue was the road traffic outside. When cars would drive by it was very loud and would shake the windows. Closing the shutters helped.

Staff was very helpful with setting up taxi (2:00 a.m.), letting us store luggage early and explaining and showing us the logistics needed for our departure before reception opened. The room was great very clean and updated. Didn’t get to try their breakfast as we would wake up after their breakfast time frame. One big issue was it says kids stay free and when I booked it my reservation clearly said 2 adults one kid. The hotel said to me the reservation was only for two adults then I showed them the confirmation and they switched it up on me and said kids to them are two and under all other have to pay. I had no choice due to the lack of hotels close to where we wanted that I paid the extra 20 euros he asked for. Had it not been for that interaction this stay would have been great.

Pros: The staff was excellent and helpful. The room was very clean. Breakfast was limited but very good and great service. The room was very clean. Cons: The room was fairly basic. I wished there was a full length mirror, more counter storage or wall hooks in the bathroom. No place to put clothes or toiletries while showering or getting ready. Only Italian TV. No options for Prime, YouTube or Netflix. Most people don’t visit Florence to watch tv so not a big deal but we had one really rainy evening and we were exhausted. It would have been nice to be able to watch some TV or movie. Overall, I would stay there again and recommend it as a safe clean basic budget accommodation.

We were very disappointed with this hotel. The bathroom in our room had serious mold all over the ceiling, tiles and floor. We asked to be moved to another room, but the hotel was booked. Management sent someone up to try to clean the areas, but it was still really bad. For that much mold to accumulate tells me more training is needed on how to clean a bathroom properly. Getting a taxi was very challenging, had to walk to nearby attractions to get a cab.
