I woke up with the room sweltering with heat The guest has no control over whether or not the air conditioning produced hot or cool air Apparently this is relatively common in Japan although the website made no obvious mention of this they provided a portable AC unit that got me through the night That said if you like to sleep cool like me stay somewhere else

It was more spacious than the apa hotel we stayed at Tokyo. My partner was able to change the air conditioning in the room. The staff went in and cleaned our room each day. I preferred this compared to a bag of towels left on our door. The hotel restaurant was expensive, not really flavourful, and had to make reservations for dinner. There’s honestly better options around in the neighborhood. I also really enjoyed how close this was to the train station and JR.

Hotel is close to Shin Osaka station so it was easily accessible. The reason I gave it 2 stars overall is the fact that people at the front desk don't speak much english and we have 2 separate bookings and it takes 2 people over 30 minutes to figure out. Also, when you book 2 beds you can only have 2 adults and or a total of 2 people over the age of 6 as they count childrens over 6 years old as an adult. We ended up having to book a 3rd room just for our 8 years old daughter.

I have only one complaint. The hotel will not call a taxi to the hotel for you. They give you a paper with taxi phone numbers on it. It is hard enough to explain to a taxi driver how to get to your hotel with maps and cell phone translater. It is impossible to tell the taxi company how to get to your hotel. So we went on to the street and walked blocks with our luggage to hale a taxi. I have never stayed at hotel that wouldn't call a taxi.

I like that the Yodogawa Park is 1/2 mile away. I go there every other day and run 8 miles. What bothered me at the hotel was that the room safe indicated that the batteries were weak. So I pulled the 4 batteries out and went to the front desk to get another set. The manager asked where I got the batteries from and I told him from the safe and can I get a fresh set. He then told another worker to go with me to my room and to change out the batteries. We went back to the room and the person replaced the batteries but I told him to wait and I tested the safe. It did not work. I pulled the batteries out and reinserted it properly. The worker then asked me to give him the old batteries. I told him that I gave it to the front desk. He said ok and left. I was so insulted by how this manager treated me. He asked where I got the batteries from, had to send a worker to check the safe and then he did it wrong. The last 2 times I had weak batteries, I went to the front desk and the woman, 2 times just gave me the batteries after I told her it was from the safe. I also have to say that I have stayed at this hotel at least 15 times and this is the first time that I was treated badly.
