8/10 Very good

Convenient location for city centre
Cute “boutique” hotel with good location for city centre and helpful staff. But I had a problem with opening the door lock that seemed to have existed for some time. Also nowhere to hang towels in the bathroom.

6/10 Good

staff amazing, hotel tired, beds ridiculously soft, no storage space for clothes, shower drain backs up

I love this property close to downtown center and excellent Italian restaurant on site. In addition, personnel very friendly and professional.

Very old, rooms and basic infrastructure needs serious revamp. Pretty good location and staff quite friendly

No complaints
For the price, very good stay, staff was courteous and the breakfast was okay...my only complaint is it would have been nice to have a coffee machine in the room, maybe a refrigerator or a microwave, but like I said, for the price, pretty cool hotel, located near train station....Thank you

Over all the experience was great, but they didn’t fix my cable throughout my whole stay, so it was a boomer.

Hotel Sonetto
Great location, excellent staff and spacious room but the room itself needs some upgrading, such as towel rack, some hooks to hang clothes on or clothing rack with hangers. Other than that, we had a great time.

6/10 Good

It is very good price for this 4 star hotel, staffs are helpful, nice breakfast included. but the trade off are: the room has no chair and table, no tap water(only hot one), and it is locate in gangs area, a little bit risky for senior tourist(heart attack)

2/10 Poor

I would be lying if I said I found something good in the sonetto.

Hotel with Old World charm. Across the river from Art museum and city park. 5 minute walk to Plaza de Armas and shopping. Hotel is connected to an Italian restaurant with a bar and good food that provides room service. (Carmines). Professional staff. Direct TV. Fast WiFi. A/C. Room prices are a great value compared to many places I have stayed...

Average Stay
Staff is nice, area has some places that are in a walking distance, the breakfast is small and basic so it’s worth skipping and going somewhere else. Bed was comfortable and heater worked well but the filter was so dirty that it bothered our eyes and nose until I cleaned it myself.
Justin, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

This hotel was advertised as luxury four stars and not sure how can that be possible. 2-3 stars and it’s generous. Their coffee was instant, and orange juice was tang. The breakfast was not optional so you have accept what they give you which for me was chicken salad sandwich!! For breakfast. The room, I meant you can see the images…

Located on the chocolate river
Interesting place. The location was very convenient. Our room overlooked the river but the windows were hard to see out of as there had been a sloppy paint job in the past. The river was laden with silt so it was tan. Close to the city park and lots of good restaurants and night life. The photos show a bar and we went for a drink one evening while waiting for our friends. They don't serve alcohol. The photos looked better than the reality. For the price paid it was acceptable.

4/10 Fair

The hotel was fine my reservation was cancelled upon arrival by someone else who had access to my phones, social medias, apps and e mails who's been following me around and using my brain function and activity for there simulations and personal lives without my permission or consent abusing me the cancellation wasn't done by me and the money wasn't refunded back into my account I only stayed 1 night there upon arrival and I paid separately because of the cancellation

Not even a basic room A nail pounded into the bathroom wall would be an improvement at least then you could hand up a towel. Not even a cheap disposible plastic glass was available
David, 1-night trip

Charm in progress
The hotel seems to be searching for a four star quality by accentuating a oldfashioned charm with dark walls and heavy furnitures. This could have worked if the room were as charming as the exterior spaces. Almost no facilities at all inthe room we received and quite gloomy walls and floors. But it worked and for some reason our double room was connected to another double room, which in turn had connection to a single room! All with the same entrance but separate bathroom! Perhaps the hotel will soon improve on some of the defects and reach a three star quality. However, it was a nice experience and good value for the price we received.
Erik, 3-night trip

4/10 Fair

The staff were friendly, kind, and service oriented. This is the only thing I found ok with this hotel. The pictures of the rooms on the website do not represent the actual condition of the hotel. We were in a quad room that was overcrowded. The drapes were coming off the rails. Some windows look out into the an unkempt interior of the building. There were 3 separate toilets and showers in our room; however, one shower stall did not have a light fixture so it was not safe to use. The other one floods when used. The a/c was not working but they got it fixed. The phone does not work. We didn’t have enough towels and soaps; the bathrooms did not have bath mats and face and hand towels. The towels we were given were very old. They provided these items when we requested for them (the bath mats were torn at the seams. There were no hangers for clothes or racks in the bathroom to hang towels. There were no ledges in the shower on which to put one’s bathing supplies. The breakfast was not good. The sandwiches were made with loads of mayo with some shreds of tuna one day and some shreds of chicken the next. It was served with some slices of fruit and a small slice of cake. They provide instant coffee from a sachet. The location is indeed walking distance from interesting places but you’d be better off choosing one that is on the opposite side of the river. A short distance from this hotel is an area with a lot of homeless people, peddling goods on the street.
