No frills hotel
Front desk and cleaning staff were amazing! The rest of the hotel, not so much. Multiple pool areas were missing tiles. Many parts of the hotel had half-finished renovations. A lot of sand in the pool, proof that it wasn't cleaned regularly. Pool area staff were just okay. If you are looking for a cheap, no frills hotel that's close to the Golden Zone, this is a good one.

6/10 Good

Hotel is under renovation so be prepared for lots of noise. Our room was nice, renovated, everything worked well, beds are comfortable and easy access to the pool. The hotel itself is really nice, but the renovation is definitely needed in some areas. Pool tiles are missing all throughout the pool. Carlos our waiter by the pool was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast buffet is delicious and waiters are pretty nice and helpful. Hotel is right in the malecón so reviews about hearing music until the crack of dawn are totally true. We brought a sound machine for our children, but it helped us all sleep better each night. Overall, clean property, great location walkable to bars, clubs, restaurants, rooms and nice, clean comfortable, but definitely on the smaller side. Nice beach, good food. We’d come back.

4/10 Fair

First night in, noticed the bed sheets had sand on them or dirt. On top of the sheets and inside as well. Furniture seemed dirty so i cleaned myself, i then noticed they just appeared to be dirty… badly. Second day in, ac started leaking which caused a big puddle. It took them an hour or so to come fix it. After, they came to “clean” but lady just briefly mopped over the wet floor but did not properly clean handyman’s mess. By mess I mean the dust that fell from the ceiling where he had to open to fix the ac issue. I then cleaned myself again. Ac started leaking again next day. we were not there when they went to fix it the second time, but noticed they went because, again, dust/dirt all over. The location is very convenient but I won’t be staying here again.

It is much more deteriorated than what is advertised through online photos. Breakfast is the same every day, so if you have a longer stay it does seem to get boring. Bathrooms are on the smaller side, especially the shower. When taking a shower there is alot of water splashed onto bathroom floor, so coming out the shower and sand on floor it makes the whole experience feel dirty all over again.

I HAVE STAYED IN OTHER EMPORIOS IN MEXICO, THIS ONE WAS OLDEST. IT WAS REALLY NOISY AS WELL. NOT ALL THE EMPLOYEES ARE FRIENDLY AND THEY CHARGE YOU 400 IN ORDER TO SIT IN ONE OF THE BEDS NEAR THE POOL. ON THE OTHER HAND, THE LOCATION IS GREAT I YOU ARE IN A PARTY MOOD.
