PROS:
- Beach is right there. Can't beat the location.
- 24/7 access to the sauna.
CONS:
- This place is less a resort and more a tiny Event Center/Restaurant, so if you're in one of the 3 rooms attached to the kitchen, prepare for noise from the breakfast crew or if they have a private party, or, say a wedding, like what happened during our stay. Our room was adjacent to the prep kitchen so when events were happening, we were surrounded by clanging of pot, plates, people. Also, the smell of food constantly crept into the room. At the end of the day, we spent most of our time out of the room to enjoy the surroundings but Golden Magnolia should communicate that to people. None of these things were told to us up front so I thought it was a joke when they first showed us our room and seeing how it's just attached to the prep kitchen. Never seen anything like it before. Didn't love having all these strangers coming and going right outside my door and it's cheap locks.
- There's not an on site representative of the"resort," just a phone number to call or text with, which seemed weird for a resort. The staff working there, only work for the kitchen or cleaning for certain hours of the day. I had to help another couple figure out how to check into their room bc no one was present to help them.
- Pool had to be cleaned by the people staying at the resort.
