We stayed here for 8 nights. The hotel is situated close to a river, it's picturesque, quiet and lovely. It has a nice pool, and the water was lovely. The staff are friendly and were lovely and accommodating. It's not flash but it's really value for money.
There is a free shuttle bus to Ubud at 10am every morning and returns at 6pm, the drivers were great. It takes about 45 minutes to get to Ubud. If you miss the return shuttle it costs around $15-20 to taxi back. We ended up hiring scooters in Ubud for $5 a day and enjoyed the freedom of exploring the village roads. The hotel advertises jungle/river walks but for some reason this isn't possible at the moment and we found our own adventures.
The only issue I had with the place was the food and food service which was really frustrating. The restaurant staff were often trainee girls, who were so lovely but didn't understand much English. Daily we had to chase up basics like toast and coffee, or milk, or not getting fruit. We felt terrible as they are so nice, but decent food should be a priority and it was hit and miss, mostly miss - particularly the Western foods like steak and chips which were overcooked and cold. The only meal that was consistent was Nasi Goreng which I really liked but couldn't have twice a day every day. I think that if they had a chef, the hotel would be full all the time as it's really lovely.
There isn't anything close by so if you like your food - maybe stay somewhere else.
