I went to the H Top Planamar Hotel with my partner and four other family members. Four adults, one teenager and one 7 year old child.
There was some confusion on arrival but that wasn't the hotels fault. It was the fault of hotels.com who despite my telephone call with them had assured me that my booking was all inclusive which it wasn't. This meant I had to pay an additional e140 for myself & my partner to take advantage of the all inclusive deal. The receptionist (Laura) handled this very well.
The rooms are small but sufficient and cleaned daily by the maids who also replaced any towels/toiletries. as required.
I would say this hotel is good value. It is by no means luxurious but had everything we needed. The card system for getting food and drinks needs a good looking into. Logistically it just didn't seem to work with queues at the bar, at breakfast, dinner and evening meal times. They need to look at how things are working or just adopt the usual all inclusive system of wristbands.
The food was good not great, the drinks were fine and the pool / arcade kept the teen and child happy along with the great animation team. The pool was good but we didn't really have the weather to use it often although the children didn't seem to care and loved it.
It is in a great location near to the beach, bars, restaurants, arcades and shops. The train station is a five minute walk away and we took a day out to visit Girona which was great.
All in all we had a great time!!
