If there were zero stars as a rating that is what I would have given to Lido hotel at Sharm El Sheikh. Although my expectations were set low , this hotel did manage to disappoint me further on all aspects.
- Accommodations: I have purchased 6 day beach front suite which was very outdated, and needed many renovations. The furniture was very old and dirty, full of awful stains. The bed was very hard and the pillows were smelly. First night the air conditioning was not working .The curtains were coming out of their tracks. Other than the entertaining but useless towel sculptures the house keeping needs to be vastly improved, all furniture updated.
- Breakfast: awful, awful. Coffee machine was broken and the breads were stale and of very poor quality. The egg bar was ok , but nothing special to write about. The variety was minimal. They even ran out of strawberry jam.
- Customer Service : This one tops the list . Starting from the reception, the personnel were very unhelpful and rude. During a dispute about second guest in the suite, they treated us with disrespect, creating a full-on confrontation, raising their voices in front of other guests. We ended up in the tourism police to resolve the dispute.
Although we did not stay in the hotel for any reason other than to sleep and have breakfast during our diving vacation, they managed to ruin our visit with extremely rude behaviour . Do not stay in this hotel
