Metro Tempe Apt was BY FAR the worst experience ever. Upon check-in, our room was nasty. Filthy carpet, bugs on the floor, smoke detectors hanging off walls. We left to buy a blanket as we didn't feel comfortable sleeping under the provided one.
When we returned, the TV wouldnt work, co-ax cable completely broken. I went to the front desk and was told to call the number on the front door! I called, and was told that someone would bring us a cable soon. No one did. I called back and was informed that they could not bring a cable, but would switch our rooms. They would call in a few minutes with our new room. They never called.
What happened next is unbelievable. At 1:30 am my wife was woke to a knock at our door. A guy claiming to be security was trying to get into our room stating the fire alarm was going off (it obviously wasnt). I told him no, he could not come into our room. After arguing, I closed the door and went back to sleep. At 3:00am another knock at our door. Another man saying that they must come into our room. I refused. He said that if I didnt let him in, he would call the police and have me escorted off the property in handcuffs. My wife had already called 911 so we told him the police were already on their way.
When the police arrived, they checked that no alarms were going off, and said to "security," "We have been called here 8 times in the last week, you have to get this place under control." We were promised a refund, that has not arrived
