Great halfway stay between Brisbane and Townsville
Great place to stay when travelling between Brisbane and North Queensland, it is quiet, has great meals and is always a restfull place to stay on a long trip. Have stayed here a few times and always rebook.

A highway treasure
We had not stayed here for quite awhile. Turns out the motel had changed hands so it was good to see the (very) new owners were working hard to restore it to what it was like - a great place to stay on a long highway road trip. The welcome at reception was very friendly and we quickly made our way to the undercover car park outside our room. Inside was clean and comfortable, with all that we required for an overnight stay. The large chicken coop was a good outside distraction for our grand daughter and it was pleasing to see the owners have started on a sizable fruit and vegetable garden area. The on-site restaurant was well set-up with helpful staff who provided speedy service. We slept well and the next morning enjoyed a complimentary Continental breakfast in a separate area before departing. Another important point is that the motel is pet-friendly; whilst there were several other dogs there, as well as our own, there was never any issue. We would definitely stay here again.

The new owner has invested a great amount of love into this gorgeous motel. I stayed at the Homestead one week ago when heading up the coast with my dogs, and again when heading down the coast with my partner and the improvements were very noticeable. All staff are very friendly and the included breakfast was delightful. Gorgeous property and very comfortable room. Definitely will be my go-to when travelling on the Bruce Highway.
