Nasty Experience
The Grange Lancaster was shut and we had no information about this on the website. On arrival, the only information was a tiny notice on the entrance of the hotel redirecting us to another of the grange hotels. On arrival at that hotel, there was no record of our booking and was directed to a third hotel within the chain. We spent over an hour after a long journey trying to check in. We were finally given a room with the bedside lamps dangling off the wall and a very filthy carpet. It was a nasty experience. Never again!

1 Star
Disappointed and not very happy. The latest experience ruined the good impression I had with the hotel. Not a very happy.costumer as the hotel charge me twice for the room. I’ve stayed for one night 16 October to 17 October which is all pre-paid and I supposedly will be staying for another night, 17 to 18 October but cancelled it with no fees as I took the free cancellation. So everything went well, until 5 days later, the hotel have taken the money from my account. I have emailed the grange reservation office and awaiting response and contacted Hotel.com for hotel’s inefficiency!!! Await for further actions.

A little worn but situated perfectly!
Situated within walking distance of everything you could possibly need from a stay in London. The hotel offered everything you would expect, but I felt the room was a little worn. However, this wouldn't stop me staying again as it was just so close to everything. Service was great. Staff friendly.

Friendly staff. Great location. Wi-fi, TV. However, no tea & coffee making facilities In the room and no toilet. Shared toilets down the hallway. The chair was dirty and I didn’t want to sit on it and the carpet felt icky. The room was very hot. Clean sheets though. Very small shower. You get what you pay for!

Good price-value ratio.
The hotel is situated in a old townhouse in Bloomsbury, no lift and the interior will need a make up, The bed was comfortable. and the room has a cutler. The area is calm and great. Many location to visit by walking distance. If you don't mind to book a shared-toilet room with own shower, the hotel offers i a good price-value ratio.

2/10 Poor

Nightmare in the Lancaster
My room 105 was expensive, over £100 and didn’t have en-suite facilities, the toilet was down the corridor and was not very clean. The windows rattled, the floors creaked and the noise from the slamming doors in the corridor kept me awake for most of the night. The person in Room 104 was on his phone at 04:00 and was speaking loudly, not sure if I had been placed in the staff quarter as there’s coming and going all the time.

A fairly shabby and run-down hotel, although in a very nice part of town. The low price is deceptive - may of the rooms dont have bathrooms. A number of rooms in the basement with very little light. The more expensive rooms are quite nice.
