Not overly impressed.
Bathroom not cleaned properly hairs stuck to side of bath from previous customer. Had room service, when I sat down to eat, I found there was no knife and fork to eat with. By the time knife and fork was bought up, food and coffee had gone cold. Breakfast was poor and limiting to someone who doesn't have dairy or fried food.

Wonderful hotel with rich history
Overall fantastic experience. The golf course is nice. If the swimming pool is deeper and longer, then it would be more attractive. A minor problem was that the cleaner started working so early at around 6am and I stayed in a room above the rubbish collection area. Hence, it was a bit noisy in the early morning.

We stayed for 2 nights at Oulton Hotel and Spa. Our room was clean and spacious. Breakfast and dinner were very good. We made use of the spa facilities, which were included. A very relaxing mid week break in lovely surroundings. Highly recommended.

Good not great
It was good. I have stayed there before, the receptionist was great and got us into a room very early. Dinner was nice and that staff in the restaurant were attentive. The spa staff were a bit ‘meh’. We went to use the gym, signed in but the staff seemed more interested in carrying on their conversations and sort of waved us to the form. Then when we went to get towels for the pool we were asked a little too accusingly if we were members, the fact we had signed in and were guests didn’t seem relevant. So it was nice but not the best and that was down to the service in the spa which put a dampener onthe other good stuff.

Great stay. Hotel was busy on arrival with golf and a wedding, so check in took a while, eased by management giving out glasses of prosecco while queing. Room was great - amazing bed, spa facilities really nice. Bar was chilled and relaxed, we ate at the Claret Jug. The staff were fantastic and the food was lovely and still had time for another cocktail in the bar. Breakfast was also superb. A great stay

We stayed at Oulton Hall previously so we’re looking forward to this stay, unfortunately this stay didn’t quite live up to it. The room was ok. It was comfortable and clean but really the standard didn’t quite match the price we paid and we have stayed in just as nice for a lot less. The remake of the room the stay day was disappointing they only made half the bed because my pj’s we’re on the one side and they only left one lot of fresh towels which wasn’t helpful once one of us was already in the shower. Reception were quick to rectify this though so credit there. Dinner was lovely the staff were super attentive and the food delicious. Likewise the bar staff in the champagne bar were lovely also. Breakfast Sunday morning we made the mistake of going down a bit later meaning it was busy so we had to ask for coffee as no one came to the table and we had to ask for tea spoons as they were missing. We couldn’t get in for any treatments as I’d left it too late so we went to the pool instead. It was really rather chilly so we couldn’t stay in for long which was a shame. All in all these are picky things but our stay the first time was just so good that’s it is hard not to compare. Will we come again? I’m not sure, perhaps not on a bank holiday weekend again.
