Arrived and room wasn't cleaned, bed had been slept in, and loose hairs on the sheets. Reported to reception staff and they assured us that the room would be cleaned and made up by the time.we came back from dinner. It wasn't. Had to find a new room. Not ideal.

I really liked the location, the only issue was the noise from outside.

OK bt uncomfortable
This is student accommodation and as such very basic. The bed had been well used and was very uncomfortable. For me it was OK for one night but if I was staying any longer I would look for another hotel. The reception staff were helpful.

2/10 Poor

Possibly one of the worst places I have had the ‘pleasure’ of staying. The staff were friendly and the 24/7 check-in was convenient. However, this is where the positives end. The rooms were small (which is to be expected), but chipped paint work and holes in the wall are unacceptable for any establishment taking guests. Coupled with the unclean bedding and bin full of rubbish, this is not a place to be spending your money, you are much better off spending a bit extra and keeping well away. The area is loud (this is to be expected in Dublin) and the whole of Kavanagh court is tired and needing of a refresh. It is understandable that it is a student accommodation, but to offer this to external guests and not provide them with any toiletries/amenities is abysmal. Do yourself a favour and AVOID.

Disturbingly loud context
My room overlooked a noisy park and street with very loud fire crackers going off into the late night.

Perfect!
This was the perfect place to stay for a night, before heading out of Dublin. The staff were great, the place is nice and clean and it's in a very good location. You're not going to get a ton of amenities, but I didn't expect any and I had a nice workout in the gym. I would certainly stay here again, if available!

Wonderful staff and had everything we needed
Truly wonderful staff, always ready to help since the moment we booked. Most hotel chains could learn from them. The room and facility description is pretty accurate. Don't expect a hotel room level, but I'd you are not the type who is looking for problems to be able to complain, you'll be fine.

Overall is a good place to stay. The studio had hot water and a commute kitchen (no one used) at least during my stay. I felt pretty safe and was able to rest. Quiet environment overall. Bus 41 gets you directly to the Dublin airport for 2.60 euros. Its stop is across the street. Very convinient. Lost of transportation around. The historic center is about 15 mins. walking. If you are traveling solo I will recommend to take a taxi after 8 or 9 pm. The mattress was not all confortable, but good enough to sleep after a long day. I was there in August and the room was a bit warm. The staff let me lend a fan. I ended up open the window and it was just fine.

I was badgered by the staff over being in wrong room. Although I wasn’t. I asked could the temperature be reduced in the room - it was 27.2c - which I have photos. They did nothing. I was forced to leave after two nights as it was impossible to be in the room or sleep. I booked into another hotel and feel you should refund three nights stay as it was not fit for purpose.

Good budget option in a well located area!
The hotel ideally located near the city centre making it very easy to get to tourist attractions. The airport buses serve the accommodation well being a 7 minute walk from set down to pick up. There is a 24/7 reception who were very friendly and the reception area had little shower gels, coffee/tea cups and tea bags and instant coffee. We had access to a kitchen which is great if you're staying longer than a few days - there was a kettle, fridge and microwave. The rooms themselves were compact but have adequate space for luggage and not feeling too cramped. The shower was great! The only real downside was it was very hot in the room which meant you had to leave your room window open. This let all the sounds of the outside in - including seagull noises, sirens and the noise of those in the courtyard. I would highly recommend taking ear plugs and sleep masks if staying here- it may be nice if ear plugs were provided in the rooms. Otherwise it's a great budget accommodation and we felt safe as two females staying here.
