Everything was great: beautiful swimming pool and room, amazing food (we ate at the restaurant multiple times and always delicious) and perfect location if you like to be outside the busy center of Ubud. The service was impeccable, the first night the room became light with sunrise, and they even offered to change the curtains so we could sleep in the second morning. Would definitely stay again.

Honeymoon stay
We loved our stay in Kastara. We booked the hotel for the first part of our honeymoon and we loved our stay. We had great jungle views, facilities were in good condition and clean. The staff were so welcoming and polite. Everyone was friendly. We also booked the honeymoon royal spa which was relaxing and a perfect way to spend our last day in Ubud. The food was delicious too!

This is the place to stay!!! Top notch everything from service to accommodations. It is off the beaten path but against the jungle and impeccable!! The staff is friendly, kind, and gets to know you. The resort is small enough that the staff all knew us within a few days! We loved how much there was to do and how accommodating everyone was! Our adventure guides, Wira and Merta, were absolutely fantastic and had wonderful recommendations for other areas to see or visit. Amazing! Difficult to put how great this place is into words. Hotel is gorgeous, the forest around you is breath taking, and the staff went above and beyond to make it the best part of our 10 days in Bali. It’s close enough to Ubud center by grab or walking. But far enough away from the crowds that you can catch your breath. Thank you for making our trip one we won’t ever forget.

We stayed at Kastara for 3 nights & found the hotel to be every bit as spectacular as the marketing photos depicted on their website. We stayed in a deluxe room which was very spacious, tastefully & stylishly furnished & of course had that killer view of the jungle below. Beds were so comfortable! The staff were extremely attentive & the food was some of the best we have had in Bali. We loved the location of the hotel being away from the hustle & bustle of central Ubud & also the unique design of the property which is like no other hotel we have ever stayed at. would highly recommend!

Jungle amazingness
My wife and I flew from NY to Bali for a few weeks and were told to go to Ubud for a few days to relax....well first, what a great recommendation, second the Kastara Resort was fantastic! We had one of the private pools and absolutely loved our suite. The staff was amazing and accommodating. The location is perfect and we spent most of the days there just walking about the charming neighborhood. We wished we would stay a few days more because it was that relaxing. The spa was fantastic and the gym was great.
