Comfortable, basic lodgings in a convenient location not too far from the port. I was able to get an early checkin (for 12 euros) when I arrived around 10am. I was surprised to be charged 3 euros for restaurant recommendations and an area map, but the recommended lunch restaurant (Kali Pita, on the harbour -- free recommendation for you!) was excellent. The room was comfortable and clean, including mattress and pillows, though the shower was possibly the tiniest shower I've ever been in. (I am literally wider than the door opening, though luckilly I'm a little squishy, so I could get inside.)
The neighborhood was a little grubby but felt safe. The hotel feels very clean and safe, with a 24/7 receptionist. There was a car alarm going off nearly continuously for close to an hour in the early evening, but luckily that stopped before bedtime hours. I didn't hear any noise at all from inside the hotel, other than housekeeping making their rounds during normal afternoon hours.
