Good hotel facilities let down by poor service and unusually for chain hotel, hygiene, especially in the bar/restaurant.
Bar staff failing to clear tables.
Using poor practices to taste cocktails and handle ice.
We were in the restaurant and one of our friends asked for piece of lime and barman delivered 2 pieces in his hands, he then placed it on the table next to the drink!
Why he hadn’t put it in a glass or on a plate was a surprise. Not the sort of thing you expect from a restaurant selling a steak for £50!
On another occasion bar man finished a cocktail, licked his fingers as he put a bottle back on the shelf and then he immediately handled some ice into a glass.
The bar team looked professional, but the hygiene discipline is very poor.
Later in the evening restaurant bar team not willing to make Expresso Martini and more interested in re-stocking than serving remaining customers.
I could understand if we were intoxicated, but we we’re two families!
