We stayed here at the end of a three week trip in September 2019. The rooms are outdated but extremely spacious and warm. It was nice to come back to the room after a long day of walking - Barranco is a quick 1.5 mile walk or 8 min taxi away. The rooms and bathroom are clean, sheets and bed are clean. Be careful walking upstairs and on the steps - they are slippery.
Breakfast was a huge spread with fresh juices, detox juices, fruits, breads, everything imaginable, and they serve until 10:30am.
I also recommend a spa day - I tried a few other massage places in Peru and had a so-so experience and a terrible experience, but my facial and massage at the hotel were perfect. The massage room was clean, the massage table comfortable, the masseuse professional. There was a closet, shower and bathroom in the massage room and she turned on the heat to make the room more comfortable.
