Although rooms were quite basic, and not new, they were spacious and the furnishings were solid, clean and comfortable. The restaurant area, shop, pool and kids area had a 'quality' feel (proper table cloths, glasses, etc), well above the '2 star' rating. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is good, with lots of restaurants nearby (a bit too similar, maybe), a 'local' beach (rare in Menorca) that has good quality sand/water (but very crowded in August), and easy access into Cuitadella, which is a beautiful old city. A nice cosmopolitan clientele, as is typical of Minorca - mainly laid back families and couples, mostly Spanish and some Brits. We booked last minute in August, probably not the best time - other times the island is less crowded and we probably could have got a better room (not the last one!). Hire car important if you want to visit the old cities, prehistory culture sites and remote beaches. Easy to get around the island, nothing is very far or difficult. I would recommend this holiday and location.
Grumbles? - internet is patchy/weak, just one aircon unit in room living area (not in bedroom, but fan provided), pool would benefit from filling in to provide more shallow area. One-way system around Cala Blanca is frustrating! Nevertheless, I would thoroughly recommend this holiday and location
