Rudy Mendoza at the front desk was amazing. So helpful and assisted us with planning outings and dining selections. Service at the pool/pizza restaurant were exceptional. The pizza was so good! Edson was the best! Upstairs at Los Olivos everyone was extremely nice, great service and even gave us seafood recommendations. All the staff were warm, welcoming and so sweet. Big hotel on the waterfront
La Mision seems to be the largest and perhaps highest-priced hotel in the town of Loreto proper. It's right in the middle of the waterfront. The pool is nice and the property is in immaculate condition. For the price, it would be nice to have a small frig. They provided drinking water only on the first day; after that we had to buy it. There's a poolside bar but you have to go in to order, the waiters never come around to ask if you need anything - which they should, in an upper-level hotel. If you choose an ocean-view room, pay attention to the room number at check-in. The 1st floor rooms open directly onto the pool deck and don't really have a view due to the wall around the pool. That's great if you like the pool access and don't mind the lack of privacy, otherwise request an upper floor.
