Wanted to stay one short night before we headed to the airport on next day. As I got to the hotel early, room wasn’t ready but I was expected. I left my luggage by the counter where there is no separate area for keeping. Lobby was very tiny. I should have checked my room but I was rush to get out to enjoy my time here in Amsterdam. Hotel has no elevator so I was just hoping I would not get high floor. When I came back at night, staff showed me room is located basement. That is right, I said BASEMENT. In fact, they advertise as one family room is basement which I wasn't aware.
Because it located in half basement when you open the windows it levels as ground where I see all stuff pilings at the back of property and it stinks and I didn't feel safe. I was asking to cancel and refund but my request was denied. Hotel staff wasn't handling situation correctly he just push me to talk to his boss by myself.
