Just spectacular
The Athina was everything we hoped to would be. There are outstanding touches everywhere, from the super helpful, attentive concierge team to the amazing, personalized breakfast spreads to the fantastic masseuse. Find the pillows too hard? Beautiful hotel with private balcony. Immaculate service. Clean and convenient (porters help with carrying bags up and down many flights of stairs. Lovely caldera and sunset views from our balcony. Nice looking pool! Free bottle of wine to start and to go bag at check out! Highly recommended for this Fira hotel. Nice hustle bustle area, but convenient so you can go back to your room to relax. Unfortunately we were “upgraded “ to a cave room. I didn’t consider it an upgrade. It was hot,, no windows except for one above the door that had no cover so at night the room wasn’t dark. I didn’t complain about the upgrade and I should have. Staff was very polite and helpful. The bar/ restaurant was closed due to a wedding. I was told by the bartender at the pool they have weddings 3-4 times a week so it being closed in the evening is common

Super impressed with this hotel from start to finish. From arranging a driver to pick us up at the airport, to sending people to take our luggage since there is a lot of stairs it was nice to not have to carry our luggage there. The pool is heated with a swim up bar and the bar tender was great. The room was very clean and the staff was on top of keeping our room clean and fresh towels. We had the most incredible views of the caldera and our own private heated plunge pool and balcony. I cannot say enough amazing things about this hotel. Staff was 5 star and so was the room we stayed in! Thank you Athena for a wonderful experience for the start of our honeymoon!

This is a must stay Kailee and Lila and the entire staff were very attentive. Great recommendations, hotel and views are amazing!! All the shops and restaurants right near hotel we stayed in Fira didn’t even bother to go over to OIA, we dined at Kalia and partied around the corner at some bar lol. Breathtaking views and awesome morning breakfast. We always had a place at the pool so no worries just be happy 😆
