Home away from home!

We always stay at the Pavilion on trips to Canberra. Comfortable and friendly. The big draw card is the bar area surrounded by a forest of plants. This trip we noticed that the plants were in need of some attention……

Here for the Folk Festival

We were in Canberra for the National Folk Festival, and we attend this festival every year at Easter. The location is convenient to the Exhibition Park (EPIC) - where the festival is held. The kitchen is small, but sufficient for our needs. The rooms are big, and let us relax after each of 5 full days at the EPIC. (The check-in was not handled well - we were asked to wait until 2pm (from 12:15), but when that time arrived were told that the room wasn't ready yet. When we complained we were put into an alternate room that had been available all along - so our time had been wasted unnecessarily).

The staff were very good, the public spaces are nice, our room was spacious with a lovely big bed but the bathroom area felt more dated. Great location.

Almost completely satisfied

Most things were excellent, the thing that let us down was the after hours room service - very limited menu and no wine available to accompany our meal
Margaret, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Not the flashest, or most modern of hotels. But, comfy beds, great water pressure, and everything you need for a pleasant stay. Great value for money.
Vanessa, 1-night trip

Worth considering

The Pavillion is convenient and comfortable, with more charm than the usual hotel. While my room was lovely amd clean, I take one star away for the musty smell outside my room.
