The hotel is about 5 minutes (walking) from the station. It is in an old palace which has seen better days but retains a certain charm.
The reception and rooms are on the second floor but it’s a long way climbing up the stairs. You need to be fit and able bodied.
The room we had was fairly large with a king size bed with a firm mattress. There is a big wardrobe, a chest of drawers, 2 chairs and a tv.
The bathroom is OK with shower, wc, bidet, sink, mirror and hair dryer. It could do with some refurbishment.
Both bedroom and bathroom are clean.
From the bedroom window overlooking via Maqueda, you have some good views. The situation of the hotel is ideal as you can access many of the sites (churches, museums…etc….) on foot.
Breakfast is a buffet with limited choice but it’s OK.
The reception is open 24h a day. The staff, in particular Antonio, are very friendly and helpful.
